Educational Institutions
There are three educational programs being run in our Archdiocese, two being theological and one being linguistic.
In Sydney, the Archdiocese is offering the St Paul's Theological Course of Studies, and is designed to educate members of our Archdiocese in various aspects of Orthodox Theology. It is held at the Old Archdiocesan Headquarters at 8 Henry St, Punchbowl, from 7:00-9:30pm, and each semester two topics are offered.
In the first semester of 2008, the Introduction to the New Testament was taught by His Eminence Paul, while Interpretation of the New Testament was taught by Rev. Dr Jean El-Karaan; in the second semester of 2008, the History of the Orthodox Church was taught by His Eminence Paul, while Interpretation of the New Testament was taught by Rev. Dr John El-Karaan. For further details or registration, please contact the Archdiocese on (02) 9543 6939.
In Melbourne, the Archdiocese is involved in the Melbourne Institute of Orthodox Theological Studies. Co-founded by our Archdiocese in 2003, it forms part of the United Faculty of Theology, offering both accredited and non-accredited study into Orthodoxy, with Rev. Fr John D'Alton as the president.
